THANK YOU FOR A GREAT RIDE!!
First we give God the glory and the credit for such a great success!
The ride went off with great weather and an awesome turnout. We want to sincerely thank the 105 Motorcycles (and one support truck + Kent backing up that truck) that participated in the ride. We also want to thank all the volunteers that stepped up and pitched in (some at the last minute - thank you ladies) and helped make this happen; from coolers of water to tents and helping where we do not even know. You know who you are - the unsung hands and feet of the event - thank you!!
When we were rolling tight on the roads, we took up right at a mile of continuous roadway (more in the hills in curves) . We had Zero breakdowns during the ride, Zero injuries, and lots of fun. We gave away two shotguns, a nice pair of Viking Cycles leather riding gloves, and 10 pairs of tickets to the bolivar speedway. We were able to deliver a little of over $3200.00 to Kent at the end of the ride. The web donation portal added another $1000.00 to that total. According to Kent McGregor, this will make, combined with the other donations of food to the kitchen(meats, canned goods etc..), around 8000 (yes, eight thousand) meals for the less fortunate!
That is simply cool ~ Thank you everyone for your participation to honor the life of Carol McGregor, and for your outstanding generosity for a great cause.
God Bless and we will see you at the next one!
Thanks to our donators:
Thank you Quick Draw Guns for the Donation of the Savage Shotgun, thanks to Viking Cyle/Bags for great Leather Gloves, and thanks to Cole Mizio, Driver of the Patriot Guard and CMA Race car for the Bolivar Speedway tickets.
This event is to honor Carol McGregor who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on April 30, 2020. She and her husband, Kent have been active in the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) for many years and Carol has served as the Bolivar chapter chaplain for the past two years. Carol and Kent are also active in the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR). Carol’s love for the lost and needy led her and Kent to help start Open Hands-Bolivar & Polk County Area Soup Kitchen last year, where they both serve on the Board of Directors and serve meals to those in need in our community.
We want to thank the Vicking Group for donating some prizes for our ride!
